Easter Series: Honey Mustard Cocktail Sausages

Without blowing my own trumpet, these sticky sausages are a winner. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The simplest and the most delicious crowd pleaser for a pre-lunch or dinner nibble. The secret is... well there isn't really a secret - honey - mustard - sausages - JOB DONE!

Ingredients:

20 good quality cocktail sausages

5 tbsp runny honey

2 tbsp grainy mustard

Method:

  • Preheat the oven to 180C fan and line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
  • Put the sausages into the baking tray.
  • Mix the honey and mustard together and pour over the sausages, ensure they are all well coated.
  • Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, stir and return to the oven for another 20 minutes until brown and sticky.
  • Allow to cool slightly and transfer to a serving plate or bowl. Make sure you don't leave them hanging around in their sticky goodness in the tray for too long or they'll get stuck together.

You can make these sausages a day or two ahead and reheat them for 5 minutes in a hot oven when needed. Make sure you transfer them to a clean piece of greaseproof paper once cooked so that they don't get stuck together and store in the fridge in a sealed container.

You can freeze these sausages too and cook them straight from frozen when needed. Simply cool and store in a well sealed container on a piece of greaseproof paper. Reheat in a hot oven for 10 minutes until heated through.
