Turmeric is apart of the same family as ginger. It has many different health benefits, helps fight inflammation, antioxidants, protects the hart, helpful for arthritis and brain boosting! So here are a few recipes to help get more turmeric in your lives!
Storage - Fresh turmeric should be free of dark spots and be crisp! It can be stored in the freezer to help prolong the life and can be used when you need, hopefully reducing turmeric food wastage! You can also store it in the fridge in an air tight container for a month!
Cleaning - we all know turmeric can be problematic when cleaning! Its yellow colour can stain kitchen equipment easily. A great way i have found to get rind of this yellow stain is to make a thick paste with baking soda and water. Leave your stained kitchen appliances in this solution for a few minuets, then rinse this should get rid of any unwanted stains!
